Abstract

The paper develops a new theory about numerical method to analyze dynamic behaviors of the multilayer plate which rested on a Pasternak foundation under the moving concentrated load with variable acceleration and temperature. The numerical method is developed by using the Multilayer Moving Plate Method (MMPM) in this paper. In addition, the Mindlin plate theory and the virtual work principle were applied to establish the governing equation of motion that can describe displacements of the multilayer plate as well as effects of the moving force to the structure. The multilayer plate is discretized into 9 Node-Lagrange by the MMPM which combined with element matrices into a global matrix to obtain the governing equation of motion for the plate structure. This governing equation of motion is solved by the Newmark method to produce convergent results. Then, the paper practices verification with results obtained the published papers regarding behavious of plate under static and dynamic cases to demonstrate the reliability of results in this paper. Next, the paper examines bahavious of the multilayer plate under various acceleration to analyze the plate displacement. Subsequently, the influence of temperature on the plate to the displacement is considered by setting different temperature at the top plate and the bottom plates.
